Time flys

The last week has gone in a bit of a blur - school holidays can sometimes go slowly but this week has flown by. I have tried to work reduced hours and do more at home so Melissa didn't get too bored, she has been quite good - I coould get used to long lunches and early finishes!

Stu took a days holiday yesterday and we went to see Bolt at the cinema yesterday - I laughed and cried - really enjoyed the film, then last night we went out for a meal, first time we have been out on an evening since we got Belle, bless her she is quite good and doesn't mind going in her crate.

I took Belle to the puppy agility class this morning we are both responding quite well to the training it was great fun today we were concentrating on "over", "right" and "left" commands the jump bar was still on the floor and we were doing figures of 8 over and around Belle was in her element and soon picked it up, we also had another chance to walk the planks on the floor and we did much better this week than last so Saturday mornings are quite fun.

Stu and Melissa picked up my missed parcel from yesterday so I now have the lovely new Graphicus stamps and hope to get some time to stamp and play later (fingers crossed)

Aching feet and empty purses

What a day - the agility training was an eye opener, Belle was quite well behaved and seemed to enjoy doing the obstacles, considering it was the first time she had seen some of the obstacles she did well. So that was the start of the running around and the new shoes I got a couple fo days ago somehow didn't feel as comfy!

The old laptop has been playing up and as this has the software for running the ribbon printer on I needed to get a new one so the afternoon instead of a possible craft shop resulted in pooter shopping, off we went to Teeside Park (lots of shops). I know that you don't buy a computer for its looks but why are laptops so ugly, I wanted something to be just a little different, spotted a limited edition HP in PCworld but it was out of stock and not sure an extra £200 made it worth it! Loved the look of the Apple Mac but I guess I am a windows girl at heart. Narrowed it down to a couple in Comet and ended up with a lovely metallic pink computer with a much improved spec.

We ended up walking miles and I volunteered to walk to Pets at Home and meet Missy and Stu at Comet as it is way too much hassle to move cars from one car park to another but to cross the busy roads safely I ended up having to double back to get to a zebra crossing - by the time we got home my poor feet were feeling a little sorry for themselves.

I had promised Missy a new DS game, DVD and a new book or two for the school holidays so we also ended up in every shop that sells these so M could decide what to choose, one of these shops was ASDA home so also ended up with M getting new clothes as well so my purse is now considerably lighter than it was this morning !

Still had some snow left this morning, mainly icy slush so don't think it will last much longer. It is Friday 13th but I do not have a superstitious nature so that won't affect my day. It is the last day of school today then my little darling will be off for a week, we will have to try and get some nice little outings planned.

I am taking Belle to her first agility training for puppies course tomorrow and I am really looking forward to it, we didn't go to last weeks session as the vet had recommended letting Belle rest after her little accident but she seems fine this week.

A snowy day

It has been absolutely freezing here today and it has been snowing quite heavily though I think it may be turning to rain, it is a bit slushy but hopefully it will not freeze tonight. I got a new cushion for Belle to be confy at the uni yesterday and she went straight to it this morning and sat happily chewing a toy, it only lasted for half an hour but wsa quite pleased with her behaviour.

I ordered some new toys for Belle and they came today - one is currently in the freezer as it goes crunchy when frozen so should be nice and soothing for her to chew on, will give her that one when she has her manic evening run around.

Tried ringing the accountant this morning - couldn't get through so I range HMRC direct and they told be my tax return is filed so that was a relief. Now I know what I can spend so I feel a little spending spree coming on - now what crafty stash is currently on my wishlist - top has to be the new stamps from Graphicus not sure if I should order online or try and get through on Saturday - ahh decisions

What a start to the year

January passed in a bit of a blur - got the most horrendous flu, the day before my birthday and it took the rest of the month to fully recover. I don't think I have been this unwell ever ... ahh well all the plans for the start of the year had to change, but I guess things can only get better.

The weather here hasn't been very bad at all we are quite low lying so snow often misses us but it is snowing as I write wonder it if will settle?
