Oh My

Where does time go to - lol

I must try harder with this blogging lark

It has been a busy day today - got a phone call to let me know I won the hamper at our local Starbucks (yay) and I have booked onto the Graphicus November retreat (double yay) I am definitely on a countdown to this it sounds fantastic.

I spent a lovely hour this morning stamping some images so I can get to play with my copics later (hopefully) it is a long time since I photographed anything I actually made usually because I make them jsut before they need to be posted but I am going to try and change that and get some piccies on here (that will make a nice change!)

Dream on - I will try for definite

Time flies

The last few days seem to have gone in a blur - attended a copic workshop last Saturday in Leeds with Maddy - had a fabaroonie time you can see Maddys great creations on her blog here. Now I know a more about them I will have keep on practicing. The class was fun and I learned loads.

On Sunday I took Melissa and her pal Alicia to see Hannah Montana movie and then we met up with Stu and went to Frankie & Bennys - I saved loads of points last week so didn't feel at all guilty.

Alas havign two days off I had to work bank holiday Monday to catch up with everything - my mobile is driving me crazy - I haven't been ablet o connect to answerphone since last Thursday - the fault was reported last Friday - I rang t-mobile and they assure me the fault will be gone by Thursday - not quite sure why it takes so long.

till later

Stitches out - poor Belle

Well today was d-day it is 10 days since Belles op and the stitches had to come out, she was really good and didn't need too much distracting with a treat. She has healed well and we can now take this bouncy bundle back out let her run free.

The diagnosis from the x-ray she had showed an ocd flap (which they used to operate on years ago) but now it is widely believed that exercise is best. I was soo looking forward to our walk and playing ball again but poor Belle after running for only a couple of balls she was limping badly but still eager to run and get that ball we only went a short way but it felt horrible watching her limp along. The vet warned me this morning that the limp may not go for a couple of months and that the exercise is OK and doing her good but it really pulled at my heart strings.

Having a day off tomorrow and going on a "copic course" I am so up for this - hope to get lots of tips and advice and have a FUN day

I didn't know I loved handbags !

Oh my - I didn;t quite realise how much I quite like handbags - Stu has always treated me to a new handbag every year (often ones wiht little dogs a dangling) but today I discovered Caccia bags they are from one of the designers that used to be with Radley and their little logo is a cute kitty - I have been on the look out for an over the shoulder bag for awhile as when walking puppy it is easier to have an over the shoulder bag than one that needs holding so today I am now not just one handbag better off but three - yes three - love em all

My beautiful Belle was back tgo the vets yesterday as she has developed a rahter worrying habit of scratching her sides with her back paws and it looked rather tender - so we know have some cream to appy but after one day it doesn't seem to be workign very well so will assess what she is like on Monday - I think her little belly round her op scar looks a little swollen so I need to monitor it.

Mamaged to get a bit more of the conservatory (craft room) tidied with some more crafty stuff earmarked for sale or to be given to Brownies. I can see floor in there (just) but not much desk space cleared - I will get there one day

I can dream can't I - lol

Oh My

Guess I am not very good at blogging, surely a few minutes at the end of each day shouldn't be too hard to do even it if it is only once or twice a week - I must try harder - lol

It has been a hard week - Belle was due to get spayed for free tomorrow but the limp she has had for the last three weeks needed to be sorted and our vet recommended an x-ray as I did n't want her to have two lots of anaesthetic I opted to pay for our vet to do the job and x-ray at the same time so she was done yesterday - I stayed up with her most of last night so have been a little bit tired today, I did drift off and the little divel managed to pick one of her stitches out so went back to the vets this morning and she is now fitted with one of those megaphone collars. It is a mammoth task trying to keep her calm as she is sooo bouncy!

I will try an not leave it so long till my next post - I can dream can't I?

Time flys

The last week has gone in a bit of a blur - school holidays can sometimes go slowly but this week has flown by. I have tried to work reduced hours and do more at home so Melissa didn't get too bored, she has been quite good - I coould get used to long lunches and early finishes!

Stu took a days holiday yesterday and we went to see Bolt at the cinema yesterday - I laughed and cried - really enjoyed the film, then last night we went out for a meal, first time we have been out on an evening since we got Belle, bless her she is quite good and doesn't mind going in her crate.

I took Belle to the puppy agility class this morning we are both responding quite well to the training it was great fun today we were concentrating on "over", "right" and "left" commands the jump bar was still on the floor and we were doing figures of 8 over and around Belle was in her element and soon picked it up, we also had another chance to walk the planks on the floor and we did much better this week than last so Saturday mornings are quite fun.

Stu and Melissa picked up my missed parcel from yesterday so I now have the lovely new Graphicus stamps and hope to get some time to stamp and play later (fingers crossed)

Aching feet and empty purses

What a day - the agility training was an eye opener, Belle was quite well behaved and seemed to enjoy doing the obstacles, considering it was the first time she had seen some of the obstacles she did well. So that was the start of the running around and the new shoes I got a couple fo days ago somehow didn't feel as comfy!

The old laptop has been playing up and as this has the software for running the ribbon printer on I needed to get a new one so the afternoon instead of a possible craft shop resulted in pooter shopping, off we went to Teeside Park (lots of shops). I know that you don't buy a computer for its looks but why are laptops so ugly, I wanted something to be just a little different, spotted a limited edition HP in PCworld but it was out of stock and not sure an extra £200 made it worth it! Loved the look of the Apple Mac but I guess I am a windows girl at heart. Narrowed it down to a couple in Comet and ended up with a lovely metallic pink computer with a much improved spec.

We ended up walking miles and I volunteered to walk to Pets at Home and meet Missy and Stu at Comet as it is way too much hassle to move cars from one car park to another but to cross the busy roads safely I ended up having to double back to get to a zebra crossing - by the time we got home my poor feet were feeling a little sorry for themselves.

I had promised Missy a new DS game, DVD and a new book or two for the school holidays so we also ended up in every shop that sells these so M could decide what to choose, one of these shops was ASDA home so also ended up with M getting new clothes as well so my purse is now considerably lighter than it was this morning !

Still had some snow left this morning, mainly icy slush so don't think it will last much longer. It is Friday 13th but I do not have a superstitious nature so that won't affect my day. It is the last day of school today then my little darling will be off for a week, we will have to try and get some nice little outings planned.

I am taking Belle to her first agility training for puppies course tomorrow and I am really looking forward to it, we didn't go to last weeks session as the vet had recommended letting Belle rest after her little accident but she seems fine this week.

A snowy day

It has been absolutely freezing here today and it has been snowing quite heavily though I think it may be turning to rain, it is a bit slushy but hopefully it will not freeze tonight. I got a new cushion for Belle to be confy at the uni yesterday and she went straight to it this morning and sat happily chewing a toy, it only lasted for half an hour but wsa quite pleased with her behaviour.

I ordered some new toys for Belle and they came today - one is currently in the freezer as it goes crunchy when frozen so should be nice and soothing for her to chew on, will give her that one when she has her manic evening run around.

Tried ringing the accountant this morning - couldn't get through so I range HMRC direct and they told be my tax return is filed so that was a relief. Now I know what I can spend so I feel a little spending spree coming on - now what crafty stash is currently on my wishlist - top has to be the new stamps from Graphicus not sure if I should order online or try and get through on Saturday - ahh decisions

What a start to the year

January passed in a bit of a blur - got the most horrendous flu, the day before my birthday and it took the rest of the month to fully recover. I don't think I have been this unwell ever ... ahh well all the plans for the start of the year had to change, but I guess things can only get better.

The weather here hasn't been very bad at all we are quite low lying so snow often misses us but it is snowing as I write wonder it if will settle?

Great Customer Service

I had to take our puppy kennel back to Pets at Home (second time) it was a fabric one which was recommended as it offered a restricted view to our two cats but the first one the zip was broken as soon as we unpacked it - the secon one has lasted a week and two zips are broken, this was always going to be a temporary crate and we would get a larger mesh one once Belle had grown a bit. Pets at Home have been great - I couldn't find the receipt though they know I had returned the first one - they exchanged this one with us only having to pay the difference and they gave us a free cover - I can't fault this customer service at all.

Day 2 of the new year and today's photo is of a bauble on the tree I loved the way the light was reflecting off the bauble - should have used the 40D but it was at the unit so had to use my Ixus but 2 down 363 to go:

Till tomorrow

Happy New Year

2009 is here, I guess on the first of January I always kinda wonder what all the fuss is about as it is only another day. But it seems to hold so many hopes for many people - what will 2009 bring - goodness knows but my focus is on family and friends.

I have started the 365 challenge (to take a photo each day) this is my day one piccie - to me no better subjects than my DD and our new puppy Belle:
